The Nextbook Ares 8L and Nextbook Ares 10L tablets feature Android 5.0 Lollipop, a 1280×800 IPS screen, Intel Atom Quad-Core processor, 1GB system memory, 16GB storage memory, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, front and rear cameras, microSD card slot, and more. The chip features dual-CPUs allowing all software to reside in the module thus enabling complete module certification and easy interface with any tablet application processor. It delivers category 4 throughput of up to 150 Mbps and supports eMBMS (LTE broadcast) and other advanced features. Mont Blanc is a single-mode LTE chipset platform optimized for the design of high-speed LTE devices. VZ20M is an M.2 module based on Sequans’ Mont Blanc LTE platform. The Sequans technology inside the Nextbook tablets is the VZ20M EZLinkLTE™ module, which is certified compliant with Verizon Wireless Open Network specifications and operates on LTE bands 4 and 13. “I believe the smart combination of attractive tablet functionality, the built-in, always-connected power of Verizon’s 4G LTE network, and excellent affordability will give them immediate consumer acceptance and we are very pleased to see them made available everywhere in the U.S.
